Independent educational service

Badge to Bugles is an independent practice tool operated by Impulse Learning LLC. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any fire department, civil-service commission, testing authority, employer, Apple, or Google. Content, practice scores, transcripts, and AI feedback are educational estimates—not official exam material, legal or medical advice, an employment decision, or a guarantee of hiring or promotion.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not share, sell, or transfer access to another person. The service is intended for adults pursuing firefighter hiring or promotional processes and is not directed to children under 13.

Paid access

Entry-Level and Promotional access are separate products. A regular-price purchase provides access to the selected track for 3 calendar months and does not renew automatically. During the final 30 days of that term and for 30 days after it expires, an eligible customer may choose one additional 3-calendar-month extension for 50% of the regular price. After that extension, a later cycle begins with another regular-price purchase. The applicable Apple, Google, or website checkout shows the final price, taxes, availability, and eligibility before you confirm.

Apple or Google processes native purchases, restores, and refunds under its own rules. Stripe processes website purchases, and website-purchase support or refund requests can be sent to [email protected]. Deleting a Badge to Bugles account does not automatically refund a purchase. Apple downloads are also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; Google Play purchases are subject to the applicable Google Play terms.

Your practice content

You keep ownership of answers, notes, transcripts, and other content you enter. You give Impulse Learning LLC limited permission to host, process, transmit, and copy that content only as reasonably needed to operate synchronization, transcription, AI coaching, support, security, and account deletion. Do not submit patient information, confidential department material, identifying incident details, unlawful content, or content you do not have the right to use.

AI and source limitations

AI feedback can be incomplete or wrong. Review it critically and follow the current policies, procedures, collective-bargaining rules, civil-service instructions, and source materials that apply to your agency and process. Requirements change; verify important information directly with the responsible agency and use our sources and references list as a starting point.

Acceptable use

• Do not probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse the service or its access controls.
• Do not copy or redistribute the question bank, source code, branding, or paid content except where the law expressly permits it.
• Do not use the service to violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, employment rules, or the law.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service accurate and available, but internet, app-store, AI, transcription, and hosting services can fail or change. We may fix, update, replace, suspend, or discontinue features. If a material terms change affects current users, we will update this page and its date.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, security risk, unlawful use, or a material violation of these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account from the app at any time. Terms that logically continue—such as ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability—survive termination.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular employment outcome. Impulse Learning LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
